IoT Lead Technical Project Manager
Classification: Exempt
Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
Reports to: Director of Supply Chain

Summary/Objective
QC Manufacturing, Inc. is a dynamic and innovative high-tech manufacturing company located in Temecula, CA. We manufacture QuietCool ventilation products. With substantial growth across the country, we are looking for an engineer that can help work with our team to take our products to the next level.
We are looking for a passionate IoT Technical Project Manager to design, develop and maintain software solutions. The successful candidate will be able to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design.
Essential Functions

• 
  
• Project Manage new development of smart home automation products
  
• Collaborate with product managers and architects to design smart home automation solutions that align with customer needs and technical feasibility.
  
• Define the architecture of interconnected devices, protocols, communication channels, and data flows.
  
• Manage the integration of various smart devices and sensors into a cohesive ecosystem.
  
• Ensure compatibility across different manufacturers, protocols, and technologies for seamless user experiences.
  
• Research, evaluate, and recommend IoT technologies, platforms, and tools for smart home automation projects.
  
• Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in the IoT and home automation sectors.
  
• Oversee the development of prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate the functionality and interoperability of smart home solutions.
  
• Address technical issues and iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing results.
  
• Focus on creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for controlling and managing smart devices.
  
• Gather user feedback to continuously improve the usability and accessibility of the smart home automation system.
  
• Manage Beta testing rollouts.
  
• Collaborate with device manufacturers, suppliers, and partners to source components and technologies for smart home solutions.
  
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications, technical documentation, and user manuals.
  
• Provide regular project status updates and reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress and potential challenges.
  
• Supervise App development and maintenance for iOS and Android.
  
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
  
• Comply with project plans and industry standards.
  
  Competencies
  
  • 
    
  • Proven work experience as a product manager in hardware and software industries (3-5 years)
    
  • Experience in smart home automation (2-3 years)
    
  • Hands-on experience in designing interactive applications for iOS, Android, and Web
    
  • Experience with cloud servers, APIs, and voice assistant platforms
    
  • Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework
    
  • BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Masters preferred.
    
    Required Education and Experience
    
    • 
      
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
      
    • 2 to 3 years of experience in smart home automation.
      
    • 3 to 5 years of experience in product management.
